Unknown Device On Dell Precision Notebooks

Looking for that special Unknown Device on your Dell Precision laptop?
Pulling out your hair?

Well, right click on the Unknown Device and select properties. If the Hardware ID is ACPI\SMO8800 you may rejoice! The driver you seek is the ST Microelectrics Free Fall sensor. This handy little thingy detects if the laptop is falling and stops the hard drive from spinning in order to minimize the chance of hard drive damage.
