Last call for ESX

Well, here we are.... 4.1 will be the last version of ESX. Once upon a time ESX was the VMWare flagship... The sign that your organization was serious about virtualization. Now it's just a footnote in the VMWare update process.

Let's all take a moment to remember all the good times ESX has brought us.. Maybe hum "remember when".

Now I would like to take a moment to address ESX directly.

ESX: You may be perilously close to that great consolidation field in the sky, but you have given me years of enjoyment and entertainment. Remember all those nights we spent together when upgrades went wrong? Or that time you dropped from the console and I couldn't find you until you rebooted? Hide and seek was one of your favorite games! Or that time You hid all my guests and I sweated bullets while I rushed around trying to find out what happened to them? Good times. I'll make sure to visit you in the retirement home when my blood pressure is running low or when I need to lose some sleep.

So long, sweetheart.
